At B&R Dining, we aim for your wedding reception catering to be delicious, memorable and exactly what you want. Peter & Denise will talk you through each step ensuring all of your requirements are met.

 

 

What happens at a menu tasting?

At your taste testing you can both visualise the design and layout of your menu, and choose aspects that you love, and others that you might want to change. Here you can take control, finalising your bespoke menu. Watch the video to see how we set up a menu tasting.

Can I schedule a menu tasting before booking?

At B&R dining, we offer a complimentary taste testing to all of our Bride and Grooms to-be who book us for their wedding catering. This will take place before you book so you are under no pressure.

What do I get to taste?

Prior to your taste testing, you will have selected several dishes from each of your courses on your sample wedding menu, designed with Pete & Denise. Once you have selected the dishes you would like to try as a potential dish for your wedding reception, Peter will cook and present the actual dishes for you and your fiancée to eat.

How many people can come to a tasting?

At B&R Dining, we understand that your family and friends’ valued opinions may be required at your wedding tasting. We can seat up to six guests at our tasting room and only ask for a small fee per guest. This can be a really enjoyable experience for all involved. However, if preferred, an intimate decision between the Bride and Groom to-be, can be arranged.

How long is a menu tasting?

There is no set time frame for your taste testing, we want you to feel relaxed and enjoy your experience.

What do I do if I don’t like something or want something changed?

Your taste testing allows you to take control of your bespoke menu design – prefer the sauce on the alternative main dish? We can change it. The aim of your tasting is to allow you to visualise and taste exactly how you want your bespoke wedding menu.

How are dietary needs addressed?

Prior to your tasting, you will have discussed with Peter any dietary requirements. These requirements will be reflected in your sample menu and at your tasting.

Is the presentation of food during the menu tasting the same as the wedding day?

At your tasting, Peter will present your dishes in the style discussed with your sample menu. Whether your wedding theme is formal, classic, vintage, or rustic, the presentation will be matched to your chosen theme.

Can the menu be changed during the tasting to bring the cost down?

Yes. We aim to provide you with an affordable wedding menu that meets your budget requirements and desires on food choice. Peter can advise you of alternatives that can reduce costings without compromising quality.

What else happens at the tastings, other than eating?

Peter will discuss with you, your wedding decor, including table linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware styles, floral design and event coordinator if required. Including the runnings of your day reception canape and drinks service, timings of speeches, wedding reception meal service, cutting of the cake, bar service and evening buffet requirements. This is to ensure a smooth running of your wedding day, and the chance to reflect on your wedding desires and expectations.

What else should I know before the tasting?

B&R Dining aim for your tasting to be an enjoyable and memorable experience of your wedding planning. Your tasting helps to define your wedding plans, not only for your bespoke menu design, but to discuss your desires and expectations for you and your guests.
